Songs
of Shakespeare
8:00pm
Elizabethan Stage
Oregon Shakespeare Festival
Ashland, Oregon
Preconcert lecture at 7:00pm in the Bill Patton Gardens
Tickets $18 - Students with ID $5
Actors Robin Goodrin-Nordli, Jim Finnegan, and Michael Elich join the Southern Oregon Repertory Singers in presenting the sixth annual concert of readings and songs of Shakespeare on the Oregon Shakespeare Festival's Elizabethan Stage.
Newly commissioned works by Martha Sullivan and Craig Kingsbury harmonize with Ralph Vaughn Williams' lyric "Greensleeves," a jazz version of "It was a Lover and his Lass" by Ward Swingle, and Matthew Harris' doo-wop "O Heart" from Troilus and Cressida.
Hear for yourself why Richard Moeschl described "Songs of Shakespeare" as "ethereal vocalizing" and "a feasts for the soul."
Get your tickets early! Watch for our street banner on East Main that announces this very special concert.
