Alexander’s Feast: The Power of Music

Based on a poem by John Dryden, Handel’s “Alexander’s Feast” was such a success it encouraged Handel to switch from composing operas to oratorios. We will perform this lavish piece with a period orchestra of musicians drawn from across the west coast.
