DESCRIPTION:“We are Stardust” explores the mystery of love over time and space.  The mystery of a universe born in the stars serves as a metaphor for the power of love to bind us together. The feature work is the stunningly beautiful Requiem of Icelandic composer\, Sigurður Sævarsson\, who captures the spaciousness of the universe and time itself in this breathtaking new work.  Other featured works include music of Joseph Haydn\, Johannes Brahms\, Eric Whitacre\, and Taylor Scott Davis\, the newly appointed Composer in Residence for Voces8.  Scott Davis’ haunting composition “Stardust” encapsulates the central theme and mood of this concert: “A love like ours\, Sincere and pure. Deserves to be guided by Angels\, Deep\, into the unknown. On a bed of eternity Lay down its ivory bones. Until destiny and time collide and make of them – Stardust.” \nBuy Tickets
