STEP 1:

Submit Your Information

Before scheduling an audition, please fill out our Audition Information Form so we can learn more about you. This helps us better understand your experience and voice type before your one-on-one audition.

You’ll be asked to provide:

  • Name and contact information
  • Voice part (if known)
  • Brief description of your musical/vocal background
  • Sight-reading and choral experience
  • Any relevant music education or training
  • Availability for rehearsals and performances
  • (Optional) A short audio or video clip of you singing

Once submitted, our Music Director will review your form and reach out to schedule an audition time.

STEP 2:

Your Audition

Your in-person audition with our Music Director will last about 15–20 minutes. Please prepare the following:

  • A solo piece of your choice (art song, aria, or folk song preferred – no musical theater or pop). Please bring a copy of the music for the accompanist.
  • Sight-reading: You’ll be asked to read a short choral excerpt to assess your music literacy.
  • Vocal range check: We’ll explore your comfortable vocal range and voice part.
  • Aural skills: You may be asked to repeat tonal patterns or intervals.

You don’t need to bring a résumé or headshot, just your voice and enthusiasm!

We’re excited to meet you and hear your voice. Southern Oregon Repertory Singers is committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and artistically rich environment. Thank you for your interest!
