Description
All the Stars Look Down focuses on images of peace, joy, and the magical world of children. Featured works include Caroline Shaw’s “The Children’s Eye” and John Rutter’s “All the Stars Looked Down,” both of which beautifully capture the holidays from a child’s point of view. The varied program also includes festive carols and holiday favorites such as “Somerset Wassail,” André Thomas’ “African Noel,” and Eric Whitacre’s tribute to winter snow, “Glow.” Guest instrumentalists will join the 70-voice choir who will sing music from around the world including pieces in Latin, French, Norwegian, and Scottish Gaelic.
We guarantee you will hear holiday music you have never heard before, including two newly composed carol arrangements by Repertory Singers Composer-in-Residence, Jodi French. Give yourself the gift of live choral music this holiday season. Recorded December 2024.
